About Me!

I am a Senior at Emerson College in Boston, MA, graduating in May 2025. I study Visual Media Arts with a concentration in Documentary and a minor in Digital Media and Culture. For most of my time at Emerson, I have focused on documentary production, but for the past year, I have focused primarily on digital media studies.

I am especially interested in social media’s interaction with culture, shaping our perception of music, language, fashion, news, and politics, etc., and its real-world implications. Studying algorithms and continuously discussing moderation and regulation are essential in creating a safe online environment.

I transferred to Emerson as a sophomore after quite an untraditional high school experience, which I call “world schooling.” I traveled worldwide to places like the Philippines, France, Belgium, Mexico, and Costa Rica while doing online high school.

My travel experiences have taught me to navigate all working and learning environments. The digital barrier is quite like the language barrier. Dealing with all types of people, being independent, and respecting others’ cultures and/or default positions all apply to creating documentaries and short films and are vital across aspects of digital media.

In the future, I hope to merge my interests in travel, arts, documentary production, and digital media studies in my career.
